This Cookie Policy explains how Paxton AI, Inc. ("Paxton," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on paxton.ai and other websites that link to this Cookie Policy (the "Site") and on browser-based interfaces of the Paxton Services that link to this Cookie Policy (together, the "Online Properties"). It supplements our Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service.
Paxton may use these technologies to operate, secure, support, analyze, personalize, and improve the Online Properties; authenticate users; remember preferences; measure marketing effectiveness; and support advertising. The technologies used and their purposes may vary by page, feature, location, and configuration.
Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device. Cookies can help a website recognize a browser, maintain a session, remember preferences, and understand how the website is used. Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, tags, scripts, software development kits, and local storage that store or access information on a browser or device or help recognize it over time.
Some technologies are set directly by Paxton. Others are provided by third parties, including service providers and analytics or advertising providers, for the purposes described below.
Depending on the Online Property, feature, location, and configuration, Paxton and third parties, including service providers, may use some or all of the following categories. Paxton does not necessarily use every category on every page or at all times.
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Operate and secure the Online Properties; authenticate users; maintain sessions; prevent fraud and abuse; balance traffic; process privacy or security choices; and provide features a user requests. These technologies may remain active where they are necessary to provide a requested feature or maintain security. |
| Functional | Remember preferences, support forms and optional features, and make the Online Properties easier to use. |
| Analytics and performance | Understand visits, referral sources, navigation, feature use, errors, and performance; improve the Site and Services; and measure the effectiveness of content and product experiences. |
| Advertising and marketing | Measure campaigns and conversions; understand referral sources; personalize content or advertising; limit frequency; and support advertising. Third-party providers may collect or receive identifiers and browsing activity and may combine that information with information from other websites, applications, or sources in accordance with their own privacy notices and Paxton's agreements with them. |
Cookies and similar technologies may collect or generate information such as IP address; browser, device, and operating-system information; cookie or device identifiers; approximate location derived from IP address; referring pages; pages or screens viewed; links, buttons, or features used; timestamps; session information; campaign parameters; and diagnostic, error, security, and performance information.
Depending on the technology and how the information is combined, this information may be personal information. Service providers and other third parties may process this information. Some providers act on Paxton's behalf, while others may act independently and may combine information collected through the Online Properties with information from other websites, applications, or sources. A third party's own privacy notice governs its independent processing.
Browser controls. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect the availability or operation of certain Site or Service features.
Paxton cookie controls. Where Paxton makes cookie settings available, you may use them to manage non-essential technologies. Strictly necessary technologies may remain active. Choices may be specific to a browser or device, and clearing cookies or local storage may reset them.
Consent where required. Where applicable law requires consent before Paxton stores or accesses non-essential technologies, Paxton will request consent as required by law.
Do Not Track and preference signals. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Paxton does not currently respond to ordinary Do Not Track signals. Where applicable law requires Paxton to recognize an opt-out preference signal or to provide a method to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, Paxton will do so as required by law.
Paxton and third parties may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, marketing measurement, personalization, and advertising. Third parties may collect identifiers and browsing activity over time and across websites or online services and may use that information to measure, personalize, or deliver advertising.
Depending on the technology, the provider’s role, and applicable law, these activities may be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Where applicable law requires notice, consent, or an opportunity to opt out, Paxton will provide the required mechanism through the Online Properties or another appropriate method. Customer Data, Output, and Customer Personal Data within related content-bearing derivatives remain subject to the Terms, DPA, Privacy Policy, and any applicable BAA. This Cookie Policy does not expand the permitted use or disclosure of that information under those agreements.
Google API Data. The analytics, marketing, and advertising permissions above do not apply to information Paxton obtains through Google APIs or information derived from it where prohibited by Google’s applicable policies. Paxton does not use or transfer Google API Data for advertising or for AI model-training uses prohibited by Google’s applicable policies. See Section 2.8 of our Privacy Policy for how connected Google Drive content is processed and for applicable Limited Use restrictions.
Session cookies generally expire when a browser session ends. Persistent cookies remain until they expire, are replaced, or are deleted through browser or device settings. Duration varies based on the purpose of the technology and provider configuration. Where available, Paxton's cookie settings may provide additional information about current categories or providers.
Paxton may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technologies, providers, law, or business practices. The updated version will be identified by the "Last Updated" date above. Paxton will provide additional notice of material changes where required by law.
